Backup (costs): more transparency desirable and possibility to disable the backup service
1) Backups of server is a payed service. Totally fair, but it is not noted anywhere inside the platform portal. You have to dig like 3 articles deep to find out the actual costs for backup storage. It would be nice if in the server settings this was more transparent communicated.
2) Once you have multiple servers it is nearly impossible to find out what is actually charged per month for backup storage costs and what is droplet cost. Some reporting on this would be helpfull.

ALLOW a Single Person (and their email) to be a TEAM MEMBER on MORE THAN ONE ACCOUNT
Allow a way for a SINGLE person (and their email) to be associated as a TEAM MEMBER on more than one account.
At the moment, a person would need to create several different emails to be be a TEAM MEMBER on more than one account.
There should be a GENERAL ACCOUNT console (that doesn't require a hosting/server plan.... however it CAN support a purchased plan if desired) that is separate from any TEAM MEMBER access associations.
On the console you should be able to see all of the accounts you are associated as a TEAM MEMBER on... and access them…102 votesThank you for your patience.

start to host Vultr's new High Frequency Compute Packages
The new High Frequency Compute packages from Vultr are a huge improvement over their previous packages at a tiny increase in cost.
Benchmarks of 2413 Geekbench ($5) vs 4883 Geekbench ($6), 25GB vs 32GB storage, high clock CPU's and NVMe Local Storage for just an extra dollar!
Having to use a management solution to host these packages such as runcloud, serverpilot etc is an extra hassle for the average consumer and I have no doubt this will offer a huge surge of customers who are willing to pay for the convenience!

Transfer servers or applications between accounts
I would love to be able to start a new server and transfer it to my client once I'm done so he would be billed for it.

Be able to set/change the app admin username/password, app FQDN, database name/password myself and not be preselected by you

61 votesNow you can updated username and password for both Master Credentials and Application Credentials:

We don’t have plans to allow FQDN change (FQDN is just meant for you to point your own domain to via CNAME) nor database name / database username changes. These are core to many platform processes and we can’t allow for them to be updated.

Offer yearly, bi-yearly payment option (with discount)
Currently you just offer month to month payment option.

Make information about current payment details available or more easy to find.
I can't find any details about how our bills are currently being paid, e.g. details about credit card or bank transfers that have happened/are happening. It should really be either displayed or linked from the Billing page or the Info Details page.

Allow Bills to be sent via Email
Some time ago the billing process used to be that bills were sent via email each month and we would forward these by a rule to our finance system for OCR input.
Now we need to login with 2FA, download the invoice and email it to our finance system. This process takes roughly 5 minutes vs 0 seconds and is a backwards step from an automated process.
Can we bring back the option to have bills sent via email?

Realtime billing dashboard
It would be very helpful to me to get my realtime billing counter display in the members area under the billing section, so I could evaluate how much cost I will actually pay depending on new services, upgrading services (scaling) or degrading and stopping services.
Now, I have to wait for the end of the month for this.
Google and Amazon give me realtime billing. please see if you can develop similar functionality.

you need monitoring
this is the second time that my SQL stops working.
If I look at my server it says everything is fine
it is only when i dig deeper that I can see the MSQL is stop and I need to restart it.
I did not get any warning, this is not acceptable.
all my sites were down when they only have little activity
nobody was working on anything this afternoon when I see the memory plunge brieflyYou should have a system to restart mysql automatically

Allow users to rename application folder
It's great that we can now have a single SFTP account to access all applications on each server. However the randomly generated application folder names, while secure, are not user-friendly. By the time I have looked up which folder corresponds to each application, I might as well have set up an FTP account for each application.
Give us the ability to rename application folders to something meaningful would make the functionality much more useful

Add multiple domain names for PHP custom apps and solutions like Wordpress multisite
There are times when we need to point different domains on the same folder, but right now is possible to add only 1 domain per application.

Add Support to change the Document-Root of an Application (custom web root)
Allot of modern PHP-Application have several Web-Dir (for example Symfony, Neos etc.) So it should be possible to change the Document-Root on the PHP-Stack. Allow Symlinks as Document-Root would be also great so its possible to deploy applications via capistrano.

Add "favourites" feature for applications
Allow a "favourite application" section, maybe on initial dashboard after login?
Added via a star icon on the application detail screen, and can be removed from favourites on the favourites list, and application detail screen.
So similar to the "ellipsis-hover" list as in you can link directly to apps, but you can set which you'd like to show.
Would be handy when working on a specific pair of projects and need "quick access" to their application pages (rather than multiple clicks - manage server > application management > click list > select list item).

You can easily create a Favorites project and add whatever you want there for quick access.

Offer better yearly plans
I'm not trying to be mean about it at all. Just wanted to state a fact. Because even on the 2GB $30/month plan, that is only $360 yr. If I paid 360/yr to any other webhost, I'd get a 10-20% discount. But worse, I am paying you $1000... that is 3 years of service, for a 5% discount. Again, I don't see this in a mean way but that is insulting. Add the Date of Credit Card (CC) successful authorization and update
I used to work in an online payment provider, so I see that you can not display most or any of the payment information. So my only feedback could be that it could be a big help for a customer to see the last suceccful payment information date/time. This info should be or can be imported into your system from the payment provider, and makes us sure that our last update were successful.
