  1. Multi-tier (more than one server for my application, load balancer, web servers, database server...)

I would love to have the option of setting up a multi-server application for more targeted and cost effective scaling. For instance, Say I could create a Wordpress site with a dedicated DB server, a dedicated load balancer, and a dedicated Web server. As my site grows, I can scale the specific part that is needed. If my site is gets a lot of views (reads), but doesn't make many writes, scaling my existing web server (or adding another instance) may be what's needed. If I'm running a WooCommerce site and start pushing the limits of my db server, increasing…

  4. A better backup scheme

So here my suggestion for a better backup scheme. Do something like keeping:
    = 1 - 3 monthly backups
    + 3 weekly backups
    + 4 - 6 daily backups
This way a longer period is covered without increasing the space required for backups. You can try keeping it at 8, although 12 would be ideal as it will cover last 3 mo, last 3 wk, and last 6 days.

    Other suggestions:
    - Allow to choose the time of day to do backup so it won't slow down the server during busy hours.
    - Allow to choose external backup destination like…

  6. Choose PHP Version for every Application (not for Server)

It should be possible to choose different php versions on a single server. This is possible in most shared hosting environments and is a big advantage.
It is expensive to create a new server only because you need for example an old php version for a specific application which is not compatible.

  13. Offer Litespeed Webserver besides Nginx

Litespeed offers a nice performance increment over Apache and Nginx. This would be a great addition to your current performance-oriented offer.

  14. UpCloud as a provider

A great provider of cloud hosting. It came second in the Cloud Spectator 2016 EU top 10 vendor benchmarks. With a first place for vCPU and memory and also disk performance.

  15. Improve your customer support quality (chat/tickets)

I don't know if it's just me, but the support quality and speed has been degraded fast lately..

When I just became customer @Cloudways (like a year ago) support was fast and helpful. They took time and really looked into my issues.

Now it's a whole different story. Today for example, I have been on the chat for OVER 2 HOURS. Literally. All this time waiting, following up what the status was, if they weredoing anything. Very little replies. After an hour the first real reply came in which totally missed the boat, wasn't even related to my question.

    I…

  16. Automated website optimisation

Why do we need to manually optimise each aspect of website performance for each of our applications if Google and other created mod_pagespeed and constantly adding new functionality to it for the last six years?

DreamHost, Pressable, GoDaddy, SiteGround, MAXCDN, Aol, LinkedIn and other have adopted it. I don't understand why we don't have it.

It has over 40 filters that can greatly improve our workflow, and save us a lot of time doing something that can be automated with few clicks.
    http://modpagespeed.com/

It can do almost all of performance improvement tasks.
    - compress images
    - resize images to optimal…

  18. Add Blacklist section in your security tab

The current server management console, has a n area where we can whitelist our IP address to avoid lockout problems. But could we also get for our servers a blacklist option?

There are multiple WordPress sites I manage. And you have no idea how many hacking attempts I get daily. Being able to block the ip addresses from where these attempts are coming from...could really help us secure our WP sites even more.
