A "Buckets" storage option
Davidtgill
Sep 6, 2:29 AM PKTHi, on the Google Cloud Platform they have VM instances which you can get on Cloudways.
On Google Cloud Platform they also have Storage "Buckets" which are a far cheaper way to store lots of data. You can also store multiple Terabytes.
My suggestion is that Cloudways offers a "Buckets" storage option.2 votes -

timezone to use in logfiles
Would be handy to specify the timezone you would get in log files. For example apache logs are always in UTC and can be configured at the apache level.

Switch to AWS t3a.small servers in place of the old t2.small servers for your $36.50/month Managed AWS packages
The t3a family of servers upgrade the old t2 family of servers. The t3a family is cheaper to run yet more powerful, so you'll save money and your clients will get an even better product.

Add Database Server like RDS for multi server applications.
Multi-server applications are very common these days.
Example: Application files on one server and Database on another server like RDS.
We need such option to put our large applications onto it.2 votes -
Suggestion: Add 'mailhog' service to servers
https://github.com/mailhog/MailHog
MailHog is very handy if it comes to development. It catches every sent mails and shows them on a web interface. It would be nice if one could enable/disable MailHog like other services for development purposes.

Add stored procedure SQL server
Cloudways mysql server didn't support stored procedure Sql. I think it would be better if stored procedure functionality add on mysql server.

Add ability to set ServerTokens configuration in Apache
Often there is a desire by security teams not to expose verbose information about the versions of software and operating system running on a system. It would be great if the ServerTokens and ServerSignature configuration items were available to silence or minimize the information given. The motivation here is to prevent handing an attacker information about what older exploits might apply or not to your server.

Allow NGINX to work in all but specified folders
I had crushed in a user case which required to manage file permissions via .htaccess RewriteRules, with files physically available inside web-visible folders instead of logic-protected folders, so I had been forced to have CloudWays disable NGINX for my server.
Instead, it would be nice to have a panel where to configure specific folders with Apache-based file serve, instead of NGINX-based.

Support npm install --global
Right now, it throws a permission error. This is helpful for tools like gulp.

Add more file types on database import

CSV file ~30mb
SQL file ~200mbUnfortunately, we can only import tables from sql files. Would love to see different file types like CSV, JSON, XML

Use supported PHP timezones (America/Chicago instead of US/Central)
Some of the PHP timezones listed on the basic settings and packages page are not supported by PHP. For example, I can select "US/Central" as a timezone, but PHP only supports "America/Chicago", which isn't an option. See: https://secure.php.net/manual/en/timezones.others.php
