Please consider providing a newer stable version of Nginx.
New servers are still installed with 1.8.x which has bugs, most significantly this:
The bug causes major incompatibility between PrestaShop and Nginx when HTTP/2 is enabled. Ie. you can't add products to the shopping cart etc.
I understand that you don't wan't to be first mover on new version, but 1.8 is quite old by now.9 votes
IonCube is currently not integrated with PHP 7 on Cloudways, only older versions of PHP. Please run it with PHP 7.9 votes
This configures the storage type of the global/inter-process SSL Session Cache. This cache is an optional facility which speeds up parallel request processing. For requests to the same server process (via HTTP keep-alive), OpenSSL already caches the SSL session information locally. But because modern clients request inlined images and other data via parallel requests (usually up to four parallel requests are common) those requests are served by different pre-forked server processes. Here an inter-process cache helps to avoid unnecessary session handshakes.
Ex.: SSLSessionCache shm:/usr/local/apache/logs/sslgcachedata(32000)
Or via Memcached (but this requires Apache v2.4) :
LiteSpeed performs better than nginx: it transfers files faster and uses less CPU and memory.7 votes
It would be nice to have a read only user for the database so that people that need to perform SELECT queries don't use the admin user to log in.7 votes
Right now we have two options for having SSL working for WordPress networks. We can have a wildcard SSL certificate OR we manually map domains to each subsite. It would be nice of we could have both.

Have the possibility to have the same Standard Droplets and CPU Optimized Droplets as Digital Ocean : https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/7 votes
For cloud server there should be auto scale feature for resources, this should work auto-scale up and down according to traffic without rebo7 votes
Drupal 8 installs on cloudways currently include the varnish module which is unstable and not recommended for production use. This should be replaced with the purge module, as per the project page:
Additionally, Drupal 8 has a very robust built-in caching api, which can be configured to work together with Varnish for much more efficient caching / cache invalidation. This would require custom configuration of the Varnish vcl for Drupal 8 instances, see the official drupal documentation here:
Adding awscli will allow users to use all the power of amazon aws system on your servers, including sync data to S3, and much more.
It is really easy to install, official development from Amazon and it will offer great possibilities to admins.7 votes
You support high cpu instances for AWS and Google Cloud but not DigitalOcean.
Can you include support for choosing different instance types for DigitalOcean such as their high CPU Instance?6 votes
It would be really good if more exposure to tools like jenkins and dockers are there and also easy proxy port selection
Docker configuration setup for staging and development scenarios6 votes
Just that, please install Ghostscript as it's a requirement for other tools such as GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick
A dropdown with options next to the "Varnish Toggle" button allowing us to choose which VCL is configured with this application would allow us flexibility to change our stack without having to create a whole new application and reconfigure ours.6 votes
Vultr now offers dedicated bare metal servers at a good price when I compare it to the virtual servers and maybe to the cloudways pricing too.
So it would be great in the future to be able to clone over to bare metal dedicated from digital ocean or other provider. I only propose this if there is actual countable benefit over your current virtual options. Well it definitely makes a difference to applications that have a high load and traffic.
Vultr also offers Ddos protection.6 votes
Actually only the following files are served from nginx with proper HTTP headers for browser caching and character sets.
Please a local font files with the following extensions too:
I would love to have the option to assign multiple IP addresses to a server, so we can have different apps each on its own IP, on the same server. Right now, we have to boot up a new server (multiplying the costs) each time we need a new IP for an app.5 votes
Please, add Docker support.
Thank you.5 votes
One of our clients recently undertook a penetration test on their site in accordance with their ISO application. It was highly recommended that Apache was upgraded to version 2.4.28 or later as Apache 2.4.10 was reported to have multiple vulnerabilities.
Most large UK based companies will undergo a similar ISO application so this should really be completed.
