Add option to disable MySQL in the Server Management tab.
Most of my apps use dedicated MySQL servers hosted elsewhere, so having the extra overhead from just running and storing the MySQL service on the servers provisioned by Cloudways is something I want to get rid off.
Also, horizontally scaling apps also makes MySQL service redundant, since all of the servers still need access to the same database.
In essence, just add the option to disable MySQL, in the same way there is a "Disable" button next to Varnish.
Regards!

Enabling CORS (cross-origin resource sharing)
Currently Cross-Origin Request is Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource
Would be helpful if we can Enable CORS

Enable downgrade without IP-address changes
It would be nice if you could downgrade a server without loosing the IP-address.
Or if you could clone an application to another server and move the IP-address with it.
This could be done by giving the possibility to switch IP-addresses between my own existing servers.9 votes -
Allow modifying apache configuration settings
An option to allow the apache config file shoule be present. Things like KeepAlive and a lot more settings have a big impact on performance.

Allow to change server time zone
Allow to change server timezone.
Please to allow customer to change the servertimezone.
I have difficulties to make cronjob, because there is different time between php & server time. I have cronjob to generate/update report in magento for every 5 minutes, then send it in end of day (around 23:xx). But, since the server time is different the report actually not complete & different with Magento report. please consider this.thanks

Add access to Digital Ocean Private networking / local IP
Digital ocean already provides Private networking through 10.x.x.x IP addresses for droplets in the same region. It would be very helpful to pass this setting through to Cloudways server options and control panel to more efficiently network servers.

Can you give us an example on how you would use this within the context of Cloudways service?

Fix Issues With Primary Domain Changes
You might consider this a bug, but after having been bit by it multiple times, I figured it would be best to post it here.
When you have multiple apps on a server and you re-arrange the primary domains on them, changing which app a specific app uses, the server will not properly follow your new primary domain settings and will instead load your default app. Here is how you reproduce the issue:
- Have an app on the server with a domain like dev.mysite.com
- Have a second app (your production app) on the server with a domain like mysite.com.

Ability to use installed application folder as a GIT repository and pull directly.
I was so excited to have Laravel installation in 2 clicks and when I see is up. Then I'd like to pull from server to my local host by GIT and start to development.... No-way. Big frustration :-( if I have an app on GitHub; I can pull it from github to cloudways but I can't use the application folder as a repository.. so what the application installations for? I hope this feature request make sense.
Thanks3 votesAdminCloudways (Admin, Cloudways) responded
Trevor, can you further develop this?. With master credentials, you should be able to git pull / push / clone … at will from the server.
If you can provide specific issue and steps to reproduce it will be very helpful to assess what we can do.

Add option to enable mod_rewrite for clean URLS in Drupal
When going through the installation of Drupal 8 there is a warning indicating clean URL's are disabled. Drupal 8 comes with clean URL's enabled by default and can not be disabled. The only reason the setup script would show this warning is if mod_rewrite was not setup in Apache.
Is there currently a way to enable mod_rewrite? If not please include it as an option to enable via the server settings. This is a potential deal breaker for me. Not having this option will prevent me from installing Drupal 8

Add an option to configure Output Buffering (output_buffering) for php under Server settings and Packages
It would be nice to be able to configure Output Buffering (outputbuffering) for php and apply it server wide. Joomla Recommends turning Off outputbuffering for full compatibility. It is a better option to have this capability than to create a custom php.ini file and then uploading it to each and every application that needs it.

PHP settings for Moodle app
After installing the Moodle app, I checked the environment settings.
The Moodle system tells me that the php_setting opcache.enable is not set but should be.
Not sure if this is a good idea but wanted to point this out.

I just deleted an APP from my server. After waiting for the process to complete, I got a message that "<Servername>: has been uninstalled."
For a jaw dropping moment, I thought my entire server was deleted! This message needs to be changed to reflect that only the APP that I actually deleted was the one removed.

error on SMTP settings page
I just accidentally entered the incorrect password for my SendGrid account, but there was no indication on the SMTP settings page. When my site failed to send out emails, I had to contact CloudWays support. They let me know there was an authentication error, and I re-entered my credentials and now it works. If there was some indication that an authentication error had occurred with status feed back on the SMTP settings page, then I would be able to correct it without taking up CloudWays Support's time.
