It would be great if the PHP timezone settings took daylight savings into account so we don't have to go through and change all of the timings when the clocks change twice a year.4 votes
Whenever I clone a server, or even restore from a backup, the server is configured with the default timezone, language, php settings, etc... It's always hard to configure because each configuration changed takes time to save.
So I would like that when a server is cloned it comes with the same settings as the original. Cloning should work like that, right?
Another request is that it is possible to configure the default preferences so that you can apply them all at once without having to manually configure everything one by one.

Allow IPv6 addresses to be whitelisted in the MySQL security options.3 votes
It would be nice if we could whitelist IP's from the GUI Terminal - sometimes the GUI doesnt always "stick" when I hit save.
However, executing a command in GUI terminal always executes if you hit enter.
It would be nice to have a backup way (e.g. via GUI Terminal) to execute certain functionality like "Whitelisting IPs" in the firewall.1 vote
Please allow us to exclude varnish caching by the http response code. My particular use case is that I am reverse proxying to another website that uses 302 redirect when a user is not logged in. If varnish has cached the 302 redirect, it continues to redirect (infinite loop) even after the user has logged in. While I can exclude all the dangerous pages by hand, it would be much better to just disable caching of all 302's. This took 1 minute to set up in fastly (trying out a free plan), but I would rather keep using you guys!1 vote
Apache directory listing can be very usefull when you need to provide several GB of data to the public, like daily newspaper roundups or other kinds of files that are heavy and are provided as a service to our clients.
I suggest CW to allow clients to enable apache directory listing or at least gives us the possibility of enabling it in only a few directories though CW support.1 vote
Since database backups are not incremental, there should be an option to be able to choose different backup durations and retention periods, from file backups.
For example, in my eshops I have hourly backup which is ok for files since it is incremental. But hourly full backups on the database can consume disk space for no reason.1 vote

I would like to have monitoring enabled to be visualize while doing the update of settings in my server.
This is a crucial time to have that information, as problems tends to arise when configuration changes, so being blocked by entering into server details while settings are being updated is not a good UX.1 vote
I want a feature so that I can update the PHP versions on all servers at once instead of having to manually upgrade each server by hand. It takes a tremendous amount of time since every PHP upgrade takes +5min to complete.1 vote
Laravel Octane supercharges your application's performance by serving your application using high-powered application servers, including Swoole and RoadRunner. Octane boots your application once, keeps it in memory, and then feeds it requests at supersonic speeds.1 vote
I am developing a WordPress plugin and need to test behaviour on different server settings (eg curl) in a live environment.
Would be helpful if:
- Users could control this without needing support from Cloudways team
- It were possible to toggle curl on a per-app basis (don't want to disable on all apps, just the one I'm testing).
*Otherwise please provide me a free dev server that stays within my total resource limits if it's only possible to disable/enable server-wide.1 vote
I'd like to have the abiity to implement the following headers on NginX and Apache so I can convince my clients they can pass Header Security Test in conjunction with PCI/DSS. The following are recommendations.
addheader X-Frame-Options "SAMEORIGIN" always;
addheader X-Xss-Protection "1; mode=block" always;
add_header X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff" always;
Header always set X-Frame-Options "SAMEORIGIN"
Header always set X-Xss-Protection "1; mode=block"
Header always set X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff"

save server configuration & power off servers to save money.
To be able to either - turn off as server and not get charged.
save a server configration, then remove the server. When spinning up a new server you can choose from the save configuration1 vote
Can you have an option to turn off offsite backups for the server? I love the function, it's just that we need the option to choose. Also this is not stated in the pricing section, so it is kind of misleading and unclear. It is like a hidden cost, which is not good for Cloudways reputation. You can check this on Reddit too, people think that having no option to turn off offsite backup is not good.3 votes
Currently, you support deployment via Github. But our projects are in AWS CodeCommit, not Github. We request you support AWS CodeCommit.1 vote

For customers who dont want a full stack application server and want to use the server only as a webserver (using apache or nginx), it would be great if you can provide such an image as an option.
All the other services running on the server unecessarily consume server resources even if they are not being used.
Alternately, if you can grant the master credentials the ability to start and stop specific applications like mysql etc, via a custom script or via a setting in the console ui that would also work.1 vote
